Our French Master Soapmaker

"Our Soapmaker grew up in the South of France, where local markets overflowed with handmade soaps, fragrant herbs, and the freshest ingredients. From a young age, he was drawn to the sensory world of natural skincare — learning age-old techniques from artisans in his family. Today, he brings that same French heritage to every skin products he creates, blending creamy goat milk from our own herd with wild botanicals for soap and skin products that feel as luxurious as Provence itself."

About

At Libra Estate, our name reflects both our philosophy and something deeply personal. Libra—the symbol of balance, and a subtle tribute to the fact that we are both born in October—speaks to the harmony we seek between land, animals, botanicals, and craftsmanship. Every product begins on our own estate, where we use fresh, nutrient-rich goat milk exclusively from our herd—never sourced, never outsourced.

We have chosen to steward the Nigerian Dwarf goat, a smaller breed prized not for volume, but for the extraordinary richness of its milk. Produced in modest quantities, its milk is exceptionally creamy and naturally high in butterfat—qualities that give our soaps their remarkable density, gentleness, and character. It is this rare quality, rather than sheer output, that forms the foundation of every product we create.

Our estate is committed to full provenance. Alongside producing our own milk, we are steadily expanding the cultivation of our own botanicals and herbals, bringing more of our ingredients under our direct stewardship each season.

Each soap is crafted in small batches by our French soapmaker, using time-honored techniques rooted in traditional French savonnerie. This heritage guides every step, from the careful handling of fresh milk to the slow curing that gives our soaps their exceptional character.

The result is true estate skincare—born from balance, guided by French tradition, and created entirely within our own hands.
